Due to interest from members of the club we have decided to make this into an American Club of the Riviera Event. Please note seating is very limited so please register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

A LECTURE BY AUTHOR & FORMER DIPLOMAT DANIEL MULHALL

"Around the World with W.B. Yeats and James Joyce: a diplomatic odyssey"

Daniel Mulhall, former ambassador of Ireland to the United States (2017-2022), has written and lectured around the world on the subject of Irish literature, and in particular the work of James Joyce, and has worked tirelessly throughout his career to further the impact and reach of Irish writing around the world. His talk will draw on a lifelong interest in Irish history and literature, and on a diplomatic odyssey that culminated in Ambassadorial assignments in Berlin, London and Washington.

Daniel Mulhall's book "Ulysses, A Reader’s Odyssey" will be available to buy at 15.95 Euro (Payment by cash or cheque only made out to ‘Fondation Princesse Grace’) and he will sign them.

DINNER: Join us for Dinner with the author Daniel Mulhall and his wife Greta after the lecture, at L’Express Restaurant Bar in Monaco.

Restaurant Location:
22 Rue Comte Felix Gastaldi, Monaco-Ville (behind the Cathedral).

Parking: Head to Monaco-Ville or the ‘Rock’ of Monaco where the Palace and the Oceanographic Museum are located. Park in Parking de la Visitation, 5, avenue des Pins, Monaco-Ville 98000 Monaco (available to the public after 6:00 pm). The Irish Library is a short walk from the parking garage.

Please plan to arrive by no later than 6:45 pm.

Important: Please confirm your reservation as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, May 8th, unless sold out before. Previously our events have been sold out prior to the final date. Without payment your reservation cannot be confirmed. There will be no payments accepted at the door. Cancellations past May 5th are not refundable. When booking please advise on seating preferences, dietary requests and the names of any guests.

Seating Preferences: it is open seating for this event with the exception of the Head Table.
