President – Timothy Molyneux
Timothy is a Canadian Telecommunications and Data Consultant residing in the VAR. A few of Tim’s hobbies are Amateur Radio, computers, skiing, biking, music, as well as assisting the Cote d’Azur Polo Club and several charitable organizations with their events.
Vice President – Daniel Lacy
Dan was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. The son of a US Navy Officer and a French/Danish mother and grew up on military bases in the U.S. and overseas. After graduating from Occidental College in Los Angeles, he began his career in Strategic Planning, Branding and Advertising working at multinational marketing communications agencies including Young & Rubicam, Ogilvy & Mather, and J. Walter Thompson. Dan served in senior management positions in Los Angeles, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo. Clients included Walt Disney Company, Visa International, Volvo, Colgate-Palmolive, MontBlanc, Kellogg’s, Princess Cruises, Sony, Frito-Lay, Piaget, Citibank and Adobe Software. After years on the Agency side, Dan was recruited to the Client-side and joined the Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Neenah, Wisconsin. Dan recently celebrated his 30 year wedding anniversary with his wife Michelle. They have one son Grant who lives in New York. Dan has been coming to the Cote D’Azur since 1958 where both his grandparents and parents retired. The Lacy’s are now the third generation to live in their family’s Riviera home.
Secretary & Legal Advisor- Sandra van Essche
Sandra was born in New York City and raised both in the U.S. and the South of France/ Monaco. She is a U.S. trained corporate and securities law attorney with experience in international commercial transactions, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investments. She has worked both at law firms and in-house, spending ten years at a global satellite telecommunications provider and three years at a publicly traded hedge fund. Sandra moved back to Monaco about seven years ago, where she is an independent business development consultant. She has worked with a variety of clients, including most recently, a private healthcare investment fund (part of a Swiss pharmaceutical group) that invests in biotech and MedTech startups. She is on the Board of the Princess Grace Foundation USA – a US charity that supports emerging artists in theatre, dance, and film. She has a B.A. from Smith College and a J.D. from New York Law School and is a member of the NY Bar.
Treasurer – Cedric BernierCedric is new to the French Riviera. He moved to the area in 2022 and works as a Private Client Advisor for American Expats. Before moving to France, Cedric worked 11 years in the US for Wells Fargo Advisors where he was a Financial Advisor. Before that he was a professional ice hockey player. He enjoys being a hockey coach, fishing and traveling with his family. Cedric is dual citizen of Canada and the United States.
Membership Coordinator & Communications - Katrina Donaldson
Katrina was born in the UK and commenced Her career in the Hairdressing industry in Mayfair London. Katrina began working for large American companies within stores learning the business then worked for a couple of British companies around the UK with managing their chain of salons. Eventually she owned her own company with a small chain of salons. Today, retired, She llives in the Var amongst the vineyards with her husband, dogs and cats.
Membership Secretary - Ameena Gorton
Ameena Gorton is an International Marketing Consultant who has started businesses in the Middle East and France. With almost 20 years of international marketing experience, she’s worked with multinational companies, government agencies, NGOs, small business and solopreneurs. Ameena is a citizen of the world, she’s half English, half Egyptian, born in Dubai. She has a Masters in Marketing, an Honors Degree in History of Modern Art and a background in Fine Art. Shae was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and has dual citizenship with the United States and Germany. She settled on the French Riviera in October of 2020, after living in several locations throughout America and Asia. She was the CEO of Shae’s Fine Finishes, offering painted wall finishes, murals, staging, and design. Shae has found it important throughout her life to volunteer her time organizing events as the President of The ConocoPhillips Family Network, The Whatcom Children’s Museum, Women Helping Others, as well as volunteering countless hours at animal shelters. She created animal welfare workshops for students within the International School in Malaysia where her daughters attended. Shae enjoys tennis and padel in her free time, acting with the Drama Group of Monaco and traveling.
Lizabeth spent her childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, and came to France in 1972, as a young graduate student. She decided to remain in Paris and went on to pursue an international career in training and communications in such diverse sectors as education, energy, hospitality/entertainment and gastronomy. Her professional experience includes Maître de Conférence at L’Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), Project Manager at TOTAL opening international training centers (Abu Dhabi, Cameroon, China, and Indonesia), HR & Communications Manager at EuroDisney as part of the Executive Opening Management Team for the Resort Hotels and Restaurants, and Director of Le Cordon Bleu, Paris L’Ecole de Cuisine.
She has been an active member of several Franco-American associations. She was President of The American Institute of Wine & Food, French Chapter and served on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Culinary Professionals. She has degrees in Political Science and Fine Arts from Syracuse University. Her interests include food & wine, film, theater, music, art/museums, and travel.
Jacqueline Gintell (Jackie) is currently a Director on the Board of IWCR. Jackie has been a forerunner at the head of companies such as Carmen Curler Co. Ltd. (International), The Porchester Group (UK) (which became the largest life insurance company in the UK), French Riviera Property Search (France). She won the Queen’s award for industry whilst running Carmen and became the Business Woman of the Year (1985) whilst running the Porchester Group.
Jackie was a Governor on the Board of American Club of the Riviera when her husband, Burton -President Emeritus, was still alive. Jackie returns to the board to concentrate on a Film Festival lunch as previously Burton did in addition to finding new events.
Ulla was born in Malmö, Sweden and studied English and German at the University of Stockholm. After graduation she left Sweden to realize her dream of living in Munich, Germany where she worked for a very well known music firm which sent music books all over the world such as the coronation of Shah Rheza Palevi. 54 years ago, Ulla met her husband Helmut, whilst living in Germany, who proposed 10 days later! Together they have two sons and two grandchildren who are now grown up and both students.
After 7 years at home raising her sons, Ulla worked at a scientific center in Munich, and then had the opportunity to become the Chief of the Congress Department. The center had different departments such as radiation protection and many regarding health. She was responsible for organizing numerous events in Munich, Bonn (the former capital) and in different cities all over Germany which attracted, at times over 1,000 participants from all over the world. When Ulla retired in 2003 she moved to Italy with her husband and is enjoying life on the Riviera.
