Perched in the heart of the old town of Cagnes-sur-Mer, once the home of Renoir on the French Riviera, after touring the medieval Haut-de-Cagnes with an English-speaking guide, we will have lunch at the Château Le Cagnard. This four-star boutique hotel and restaurant will welcome us with Prosecco and a wonderful three-course meal.

Built in the 13th century, Château Le Cagnard is an exceptional stone dwelling and is a part of the city wall. Its history is closely tied to that of the Château Grimaldi, which dates back to the 14th century. The Guard room in particular, with its arched fireplace, is evidence of its Medieval heritage, a time under which Knights protected the village and its Château.
